Since 2006, the ARMA International Educational Foundation (AIEF) has been committed to empowering individuals on their educational journey, and we are excited to share an incredible scholarship opportunity. We are pleased to announce the availability of the ARMA Professional Development Award, a fantastic opportunity for ARMA members seeking support to attend ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024 or ARMA InfoCon 2024. This award aims to provide professional development opportunities for our members, and we encourage you to take advantage of this valuable resource.
Purpose:
This award provides professional development support to ARMA members wishing to attend ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024 or ARMA InfoCon 2024. Four applicants will be selected to attend ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024, and six applicants will be selected to attend ARMA InfoCon 2024. Once selected, award recipients must register before AIEF will distribute reimbursement.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, applicants must:
– Be an ARMA member at the time of application and award distribution.
– Confirm that their employer will not cover their registration costs or be self-employed.
– Have not received any AIEF-funded award in the last five years.
Reimbursement Award:
The award is a reimbursement, and funds will be distributed upon submission of proof of registration. The AIEF will provide $1870 for ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024 attendees and $1949 for ARMA InfoCon 2024 attendees.
Application Deadline and Requirements:
– ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024: Accepting applications from February 26 through March 16.
– ARMA InfoCon 2024: Accepting applications from June 10 through July 5.
Application packets must include:
– Proof of current ARMA membership (professional or associate).
– A current resume.
– A statement of financial need.
– A personal statement (no more than one page, 12-point font, double spaced) addressing why you are interested in attending the event and how it will contribute to your career.
Applicants for the ARMA Canada Information Conference 2024 awards will be notified of the committee’s decision in early April, and applicants for the ARMA InfoCon 2024 awards will be notified of the committee’s decision in mid-August.
