Alan A. Andolsen, CMC, CRM

Died January 24, 2010  Age 66

Alan Andolsen was a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Records Manager. He focused his consulting efforts on the creation of office systems that recognize the diversity of human capabilities and the potential of emerging technologies as well as conserving an organization’s resources. During the past two decades, he pioneered practical techniques for the management of digital records and lectured on their application in Japan, China, Europe, and throughout the United States and Canada.

At the time of his death, he was serving as President of the Board of Regents of the Institute of Certified Records Managers, Member of the Certification Review Board of the National Association for Information Destruction, Principal Member of the Technical Committee on Record Protection of the National Fire Protection Association [NFPA Standard 232], Chair of the Code of Ethics Committee of AMCF – the Association of Management Consulting Firms and Trustee of the Foundation for Excellence in Consulting and Management.   He was a member of ARMA International’s Strategic Planning Committee, Professional Issues Committee, and Professional Competency Project and has served on its Task Forces on E-Mail Standards and Record Centers.
